On 29 September 2026, Space/s for Societal Change and the Center for Affirmative Social Action (CASA) organized a working dinner with representatives of the diplomatic community in Prishtina, as part of the initiative “Moving from ‘Kosovo Serb Integration’ to(wards) a New Social Contract for a Truly Multiethnic Kosovo”, supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
The gathering offered an opportunity for an informal exchange on current socio-political developments in Kosovo, with particular attention to the challenges facing its communities and the importance of strengthening dialogue, mutual understanding and social cohesion.
The discussion also reflected on the findings of the New Social Contract Forum, “Inter-municipal Cooperation – a Core Feature of Local Self-Governance in Kosovo Left Underdeveloped,” held earlier that day. Representatives of Space/s and CASA shared updates on the initiative’s ongoing activities and the issues emerging from its dialogue processes.
A central theme of the exchange was the need to complement the political dialogue with a broader societal perspective, rooted in the concerns and interests of Kosovo’s communities. Particular attention was given to local self-governance and the importance of creating space for meaningful dialogue between Kosovo Serbs and Albanians on their shared future.
Space/s and CASA extend their appreciation to all participants for their engagement and contributions to an open and constructive discussion.
