Kosovo Serb Civil Society Platform Discusses the Announced Integration of Health and Education Systems and the Implications of the Law on Foreigners

The discussion took place within an initiative aimed at strengthening independent voices within the Serb community and fostering Serb–Albanian dialogue on a new social contract for a truly multiethnic Kosovo.

The announced integration of the health and education systems into Kosovo’s institutional framework, and the implications of the implementation of the Law on Foreigners for this process, were among the key topics of the second meeting of the Kosovo Serb Civil Society Platform.

The meeting took place on 5 March 2026 within the second cycle of the project “Moving from ‘Kosovo Serb Integration’ to(wards) a New Social Contract for a Truly Multiethnic Kosovo”, supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Pristina and jointly implemented by the Centre for Affirmative Social Actions (CASA) and Space/s for Societal Change – Space/s.

Another topic of the meeting concerned the upcoming New Social Contract Forum, which will bring together representatives of Serbian and Albanian civil society, local government representatives and experts in local governance for a dialogue. During the discussion, members of the Platform shared their suggestions and proposals regarding the topics and issues that should be addressed during this dialogue.

The Forum will focus on exchanging views on the problems and challenges both communities face at the local level in ensuring quality, adequate and efficient public services.

The Kosovo Serb Civil Society Platform brings together organizations and activists with the aim of fostering dialogue, exchanging views and jointly identifying priorities of importance for the Serb community in Kosovo.
