Engaging Dialogue on Kosovo Serb Community Challenges and Prospects

On March 11, 2025, we had the pleasure of attending a breakfast meeting hosted by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kosovo, bringing together international organizations to discuss key findings from our project: Moving from ‘Kosovo Serb Integration’ to(wards) a New Social Contract for a Truly Multiethnic Kosovo.

At the meeting, we presented the results of our public survey, Insight into the Challenges, Needs, and Attitudes of the Kosovo Serb Community, which examined key issues such as:

๐Ÿ“Œ Access of Kosovo Serbs to Public Services at the Local Level
๐Ÿ“Œ Access of Kosovo Serbs to Public Services at the Central Level
๐Ÿ“Œ The Phenomenon of Mass Migration from Kosovo Serbs
๐Ÿ“Œ Institutional Participation of Kosovo Serbs

Additionally, we shared empirical findings from three Community Forums, which explored:

๐Ÿ”น Return to Institutions in the North โ€“ Challenges and Opportunities
๐Ÿ”น Access to Services and Rights at the Local Self-Governance Level
๐Ÿ”น Parliamentary and Upcoming Local Elections & the Future of Kosovo Serbs

The discussion also addressed the broader socio-political context and its implications for the Kosovo Serb community at this critical momentโ€”not only for Kosovo but for the region and beyond.

This project is a partnership between @Center for Affirmative Social Actions – CASA and @Space/s for Societal Change โ€“ Space/s, with generous support from the @Embassy of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
