Urban Soundscape: Multiethnic Rhythm of Kosovo

Dreams and Reality is an artistic event focused on Roma music and poetry. It is a part of the project “Urban Soundscape: Multicultural Rhythm of Kosovo” financed by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosovo. It promotes multiculturalism and inter-ethnic dialogue through art and music, while enriching the artistic space of Pristina with the sounds of minority communities as an integral part of the diversity of Kosovar society.

Being acquainted with the sounds of the soul of a community, in this case of music and poetry, we are also acquainted to the sounds of life, hope, sadness, joy and many other feelings. This time, we will be acquainted with the spirit of the Roma community through the performance of the Roma octet “Kujtim Paçaku” with old Roma songs, the sounds of Driton Berisha’s guitar and the reading of poetry by Edis Galushi.

The event will take place on June 13, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., in the Barabar Center, on the fourth floor of the Grand Hotel.

This event is implemented by the foundation Space/s for Societal Change – Spaces, while the project as a whole is carried out in partnership between the foundation Spaces and the NGO CASA with the contribution of the Barabar Center.
